Biting is as natural a behavior to dogs as barking or wagging

One trigger that will cause virtually any dog to bite is pain
and/or fear. For example, if a dog has been involved in an accident or hurt in some other way, he may bite out of fear, anxiety, confusion or pain. Some common triggers are loud
noises such as thunder or fireworks. Please try to understand

If you reach in to pull him out he may bite you out of fear and anxiety. After all, he can't simply ask you to give him a moment to collect his thoughts. It is an instinctual reaction.
